Reconnecting & Refocusing

As you welcome your students back to the learning environment this week, please be sure to patiently practice procedures, building time into your class meetings to reestablish expectations (including lunchroom, recess, bathroom, and hallway expectations).

Additionally, classbuilding and teambuilding structures are essential to reconnecting your classroom community. You might try a Silly Sport or two as well. Click here for a couple of ideas from Dr. Kagan.

Fred Jones and Dr. Kagan remind us of the power of using an "interior loop" when designing our classroom seating. This allows for the teacher to move efficiently around the room, between groups to better listen in during collaboration.

Mark Your Calendars!

Our PTO is hosting the first ever "Sharing Our Stories" Culture Night on January 25th from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Please plan to talk this up with your class. We'd love to learn from our students and their families.

Winter NWEA Testing

NWEA testing will begin next week and will run through January 21st. Students will test on devices within your classrooms. Please let us know if you have any questions.
