Read-a-Thon Celebration!
We are looking forward to celebrating our school's commitment to supporting our 2021-22 PTO budget through our "Bucks for Brown" fundraiser on Thursday. In addition, we are celebrating our love of books as Reading Month comes to a close.

Here's how Thursday (4/1) will look:
*Learning time as normal in the morning (might consider non-ELA content as we will be reading in the afternoon)
*Lunch and specials
*Classroom spring cleaning (clean out & organize cubbies/chair sacks)
*Get comfy with blankets/pillows and read around the room (determine the length of time based on your students' age/developmental appropriateness)
*Students enjoy a video celebration of books (options linked below) with popcorn as you get ready to leave for spring break for a week of rest.

The Little Bear Movie (1 hour 15 minutes - best for primary)

Curious George (44 minutes - best for primary)

Berenstain Bears: Too Much Vacation (24 minutes - best for primary)

Pixar Short Films for Kids (Great for our older students - over two hours as they play back-to-back - please limit to 1.5 hours tops)

Shaun the Sheep (about 50 minutes - better for older students)

Feel free to rearrange the read-a-thon & movie time as it works with your classroom schedule

Welcome to the Brown School Team, Beth Mosher!
Beth will be working with students while Mindi welcomes Baby Avery to the world. Our plan is to have her start after spring break. We are delighted to have you as a member of our staff, Beth
!

Whether you'll be on vacation or a "staycation", enjoy every minute of your well-deserved break!

Our next blog post will come on April 16th.
