1:1 Student Showcase for the BoE
Our Student Council, Tech Team, and innovative student leaders will be showcasing the impact of the 1:1 initiative prior to the board meeting in the cross halls and Becky and Sarah's classrooms. A few students will be sharing how 1:1 has transformed their school experience during the meeting as well. Please join us in the media center at 6:00 on Monday evening.

Thank you for your help in coordinating this event and for leading this important work, Becky, Kent, Sarah, Kelly, and Stephanie!

Home-School Partnership Informational Session
As you know, we are deeply committed to supporting our families as they work at home to enrich our students, especially our at-promise readers. Our Inter-Richment team, along with Sarah, Stephanie, Alyssa and Elizabeth are planning to share resources and supportive tools for our families to use as they read with their children at home. They will have an area set up at Science Night (which is also Family Night at the Book Fair). This evening is a perfect time to reach many families who are attending to learn and to enrich their children's educational experience. Thank you, team!

Calling ALL Brown School Superheroes!  Let’s demonstrate just how big and amazing our “little school’s” BIG heart really is…

The 16th Annual Lory's Place Run, Walk, Rock 5K, will once again be held along the beautiful sandy beaches of St. Joseph and Benton Harbor, on Saturday, May 16, 2020 with a start time of 8:30 AM.

The “Champions for Children Challenge” continues!  Students, teachers and administrators are invited to represent their school in either the 5K run or 5K walk.  The school that raises the most money will be presented the “Champions for Children” traveling trophy during the awards ceremony following the race.  This year’s winner will also receive a $500.00 donation to use as needed. (How incredible would it be to do something fun and healthy together and earn money for our school!?)

Another cool feature is that if you register in groups of four, each team member can receive $5.00 off registration and if you register before March 31, 2020 it is only $25.00, making it just a $20.00 cost.  And Lory’s Place has given our school a “Promo Code” to avoid the headache of registering in groups of four! Just enter: 2020BROWN to receive your $5.00 discount.  (Plus there are delicious doughnuts that await you at the finish line. And who knows, every participant could be randomly selected to take home one of those awesome white rocking chairs!)
