Recess Supervision
Thank you for your help in carefully monitoring your "zone" while supervising students during recesses. The image below may help you to break up your zone coverage with your colleagues. I appreciate your attention to this as being present can help to prevent potential conflicts.

Literacy Essentials - Circling Back
In the fall, Kim introduced us to the essential literacy practices created by the GELN. Each grade level team collectively committed to exploring what that would look like in their classrooms. Please touch base with Jess if you would like any support with your literacy commitments. She's a great resource!

Along the same lines, Jess will be reaching out to all classroom teachers to schedule a time to come in and model a read aloud (essential practice 2). Please look for an email from her soon. Thank you for taking advantage of the awesome opportunity to learn together!

Walk-a-Thon 2020
Our amazingly dedicated Walk-a-Thon committee worked with our equally awesome PTO this fall to explore the option of making our annual fundraiser a one-day event, similar to what the other two elementary schools do. After a lot of discussion and planning, the team has decided to move to a one-day event. It is going to be so great! More details to come soon. 😁

We are planning to still run a mileage club in the fall and spring where students can earn the same tokens when they walk/run laps. What fun our students will have!
