Congratulations on your upcoming retirement, Sandy! Boy, will you be missed! We wish you all the best in this next step in your life's journey.
Cool Ideas!
See Kelly Nimtz about the deep level of rigor her fourth graders were engrossed in while working through performance tasks in Freckle.
Ask Sarah Hassenger about how she "prescribes" IXL skills based off of essential standard skill achievement on common grade level formative assessments - so cool!
Have you heard...Erica Brown is joining Morgan and Elizabeth in 2nd grade next year! She will stay in the same room with a new bright bunch of learners in the fall.
Don't forget to enter your 1/2 day absence in Skyward for the most recent grade level release day. Please select "in-district PD" for the absence reason.
Check out this great (and very true) article shared by Bri - Teachers: Our Most Daring Leaders by Brene Brown
End of the Year Tasks
Please give Sara 30 copies of your 2019-2020 welcome letter to your new students by May 31st.
Invite a parent volunteer to come in to take inventory and organize your curricular materials (Benchmark and Everyday Math) - get ahead of the end of the year check-out list!
Kudos and Thank You to...
Elizabeth, Morgan, Sara, Bri, & Kelly M. for consistently supporting two of our most at-promise learners.
Sandy for assisting with small group testing sessions.
Julie and Sue for greeting all of our "hot lunchers" with a smile each and every day.
Everyone's flexibility with the rescheduled track meet.
Natalie for always keeping students' best interests in her heart.
All of our classroom teachers for thinking deeply about 2019-2020 class lists. Not a simple task!
Our K-5 teachers for preparing lesson plans for grade level release day.
All of Brown School for supporting each other and our students every day - what a fabulous "family" to be a part of!
