Picnic Remiders
School staff is not allowed to apply or provide sunscreen for students. Parents may apply to their own child and any child for whom they have documented permission from parents (email, text etc is fine).

Classroom Cleaning Day Instructions
Please dedicate some time on Thursday morning for classroom cleaning. Be sure that students wipe down all their desks and bins to store for the summer. Do not use any metal scrapers on our desks! Rick can assist you if you need a solution for “gummy” residue left behind. Please put all garbage in the hallway for easy collection. PLEASE DO NOT STACK STUDENT CHAIRS ON THE LAST DAY - it makes cleaning more efficient if they don't have to be "unstacked" first. Please be sure all Lost and Found items are in the front hall Monday, 6/11 at noon for donation.
Year End Procedures
Grades: please alert Kathy when your grades are done.
Report Card Envelopes: we will get you NWEA reports and any letters that need to be stuffed this week. Please keep the envelopes in alphabetical order when you are stuffing.
F&P Folders: Fill out folders completely. Then sort into teacher a, b, and c (where applicable) stacked alphabetically by students’ last name. Band each stack together separately.
Student Discipline Rubrics / Files: Turn in rubrics and supporting documentation for chronic offenders only. The rest can go in the shredding bins.
Class Lists: Take one last look at your grade level class lists before Tuesday. Then we’ll circulate the lists to itinerant staff and put together our working draft master for the summer. Thank you!
Evaluations: Evaluations are underway and are viewable in iObservation once published. Please acknowledge your summative evaluation and then we’ll put two printed copies in your mailbox - one for you to keep and one to return to Kristen.
Don’t forget to turn in your DPPD forms!
Remember! ALL student records and paperwork with any identifying information must be shredded. When cleaning out files, be sure not to throw things in the trash!
Please note: After thoughtful professional learning and much dialog, Jamie, Rachel, Ben and Sheli have decided we will no longer be selecting students to celebrate as standouts in the areas of Art, Music, and PE. 5th grade parents will be advised via email.
Congratulations, Brown School! Our Lexia pilot has been a huge success!! Remember, students will have access over the summer. Log in from time to time and see how they are doing! You might even consider enlisting parents to do a lesson at home if you see a kid needs one - that would be pdf to them.
Reminders from IT
Your email (from Jan 1, 2015 to date), contacts, and calendar will all start to be moved over into Google Mail shortly after that, at which point you can close Outlook forever, and just use the web interface (http://owa.sjschools.org) if you want to find older historical information, but don't use it for sending/receiving mail or calendar items. This will be available for reference until early 2019 at which time we will decommission that system completely. See presentation as a reminder/refresher.

Student Passwords Change July 16th
This summer when we transition PowerSchool from the 17-18 to 18-19 school year, we will also be making a change to STUDENT PASSWORDS in an attempt to meet the password complexity requirements that keep getting tighter for online programs. On July 16th, when we roll the school year over, students will have the first LETTER in their password capitalized. So a password of apple52 would be Apple52, or 52apple would be 52Apple. bears123 would be Bears123. This won't affect all students, but if you have students doing work online over the summer this WILL affect them on July 16th.
