Conferences
Our "late night" will be Thursday, October 12th. We will utilize the Media Center as in past years. If you have serious academic, social/emotional or behavior concerns and feel as though I need to join you, please give me the date/time. Remember that our hope is that you will meet with your most "at risk" and new students in October, but you have until November 10th to meet with the rest of your class.
Don't forget to visit Kelly's very generous and always delicious "Coffee Corner"!
Halloween Parties
We will have a slightly different format for Halloween this year. Please see the details below:
- All school recess at 2:00 (please go out if on duty at 2:15 or 2:30) - students will change into costumes at this time. If students have to change their clothes, they will use the bathrooms, otherwise they will slip into their costumes in the room then head outside so that parents can set up the activities. You might want to ask parent volunteers who are helping with the party to assist with monitoring the busy bathrooms.
- Classroom parties from 2:15-3:15 unless this conflicts with a special and the itinerant is unable to switch your time. If you need to hold your party at a different time, please be sure to let Kathy and I know.
- 3:15 Halloween parade- route map to come
*We will not have a Maker/STEM fair on October 31st. I am working with Joe Rommel to select another day to share this experience with our students. It will be business as usual until last recess.
Thank you for completing the library analysis (CLASS survey) by October 20th. Click here to access it. Remember to log on with your SJPS email (not stjoebears).

Maintenance requests should only be entered on the help desk site by the building principal and/or the building secretary. While it gives you the option to select "maintenance", requests must be approved and entered only by myself or Kathy. I apologize for any confusion related to this- I am learning too! :)
In addition, please ONLY use the helpdesk.sjschools.org site (also available via the Symbaloo) when entering a technology help desk request. The help desk email SHOULD NOT be used.
