Fire Drills
Great job this week! Our time is decreasing, but we would love to safely exit the building a bit sooner. Please review the fire drill expectations below with your class.
Here's what we would love to see:
- Silence (no talking at all- on the way out of the building and as they stand outside
- Walk with a purpose- no running
- Listen for your name to be called and clearly say, "here
You will receive red and green laminated construction paper rectangles in your mailbox. These will be used as a quick indicator that everyone is accounted for (green) or someone is injured and/or missing (red). Teachers will hold up the appropriate color up after attendance is taken during either a fire, severe weather, or lockdown drill.
An Additional Exercise Offering
Perhaps you are seeking a quick way to get in shape and feel great in addition to cardio drumming. If so, we have a boot camp for you! Laura Meyer, our new PTO Treasurer and Brown School parent, is offering an exciting opportunity to participate in a four-week cardio boot camp that includes customized clean eating meal planning, five downloadable workouts per week, and 2 on-site workouts. She is offering this opportunity for $80, but at 1/2 cost for Brown School staff. The plan is to begin the week of October 9th and end the week of November 4th. On-site workouts will be located on the Brown School playground on Tuesday nights at 5:00 and Saturday mornings at 9:00. For any questions, please email Laura at laurameyer02@yahoo.com or seek membership on the private group FB page.
Feedback needed
Please let me know if you would like to see a return of the Halloween Maker/STEM day this year. I welcome your feedback and ideas. Thanks!
